A freeze-ready trace for a crypto fraud case, without an analyst or a license.
For detectives, prosecutors, victim lawyers and bank fraud teams. Start from the victim’s USDT transfers on Ethereum or Tron; get back every wallet the money reached, which ones still hold it, and who can freeze it.

Four of the fifteen leads from the sample case, as of its data cut-off. Each address links to the block explorer so you can check it yourself.

What to do with it
Each stop in the report says who can act on it. The report is a lead list, marked “Reported, not proven”. The requests come from you.
AHolding wallet
Ask Tether to freeze it
Tether can freeze USDT in a wallet on a request from law enforcement, made through Tether’s own process. Hound does not file it for you.
BExchange deposit
Go to the exchange
Send a preservation or records request, or ask for an account freeze, through the named exchange’s law enforcement portal. The exchange knows whose account the deposit address belongs to.
CIC3 complaint
Back up the complaint
The victim files with the FBI at ic3.gov first. Attach the Hound report to the complaint or your case file, with the complaint number.
Investigative support, not legal advice. Verify every address on-chain before you act. Freeze and records processes belong to Tether and each exchange, and they change; check theirs before you send.

How it’s tested
Run blind on 12 real DOJ forfeiture cases. The data was cut off before the first freeze, Tether’s freeze list was hidden, and Hound saw only the victims’ transfers.

The limits, in plain words
10Hound missed 10 of the 32 seized wallets. Some sat past the hop limit, some held money from another victim or another coin.
82The other leads were not seized in court. About half are exchange deposit addresses; the rest could not be checked against a court record. A lead is a place to look, not a finding.
↯Bridges are not followed. Money that crosses to another chain ends the trail, and branches below a set amount are not expanded.
≠These were closed cases, picked because DOJ published the seizures. A fresh case can look different.
